      1. Information, advice and guidance service – This service is available pre, during and post diagnosis via the telephone and by email.
      2. Services for Parents/Carers Hampshire – including workshops, a library with helpful books that are free to borrow, a resource lending library with ’try before you buy’ items like weighted blankets and ear defenders, support groups and an autism alert

Koala:

Koala offers autistic-led support for autistic and neurodivergent individuals, their families and carers. Focus on enabling social connection for neurodivergent individuals. Currently running a Teens group, an LGBT+ Teen group, a Kids group (children need to be supervised) and a group for children not accessing school (need to be supervised) and online parent support groups.

BRAAIN:

BRAAIN offers information and advice to support parents and carers of children with ADHD and ASC or Special Educational Needs (SEN). Can provide details on specialist schools in the area, information about accessing professional help and finding local clubs for children and support groups for parents.

Barnardo’s Hampshire specialist parenting service:

Hampshire Specialist Parenting Support Service (HSPSS) delivers evidence-based parenting programmes, including Autism and ADHD programmes to parents with children aged 5-17 years. Programmes include:

      1. Autism specific programme (The Cygnet Programme)
      2. ADHD specific programme (Parent Factor for ADHD).
      3. General parenting course (The Family Links Nurturing Programme)

Counselling Support

Headroom:

Free counselling for YP & parents, specific anger management counselling & working with YP with neurodiversity.

Counselling (funded by Broadhurst) for parents with their own mental health difficulties & can be referred onto therapeutic parenting support.

Youth Counselling Service

TalkPlus

Offer free NHS Talking Therapies for stress, anxiety, low mood and OCD, as well as support for managing a long-term health condition.

Offer interventions over video, telephone, instant messaging and F2F. Resources and self-help modules for anxiety, depression, and worry on website.

Accept self and professional referrals via their website, but professional referrals must include PHQ9 and GAD7 scores.

KOOTH

Advertised as an ’online mental wellbeing community’. Offers free, safe and anonymous support 7 days a week, 365 days a year via Kooth chat and messenger service.

Hart Voluntary Action (HVA)

Free Weekly Counselling Sessions for Young People aged 11-25. Up to 20 sessions. HVA have set up a family counselling service in Odiham for those in the Hart and Rushmoor districts. Offer up to 6 sessions, individual sessions offered to each family member who would like it.
