ACFH COVID + Patient Appointment Instructions

Dear Patient

You will soon receive a call to give you a time to see a GP for examination. The number may be displayed on your phone as ‘withheld’. Once you have your time slot, please travel by personal car to the Aldershot Centre for Health, stay in your car and await further instructions.  Bring your mobile phone with you.

You must stay in your car unless instructed otherwise. If someone accompanies you, they must not get out of the car at any time.  If no one is present to greet you then you should call reception and advise of your arrival : The telephone number is 01252 335460

General instructions: Patients with possible Covid-19 (and the people who accompany them) must not enter the building until instructed

The GP wearing protective clothing, face mask and eye/face protection, will then either call you on your mobile or approach your car and make the necessary clinical checks whilst you stay in your car. If you need further examination, the GP will escort you to a dedicated examination room.

If you do need to be examined, you will be provided with hand sanitizer and may be given a face mask to wear. Following examination, you will be escorted straight back to your car.

To prevent spread of infection, you should not use a taxi or public transport and you (and any person who comes with you) must not go into any part of the building including the pharmacy or GP surgeries.

You (and any person who comes with you) must use the toilet before you leave home to reduce the risk of COVID infection to others.

Bring a bottle of water with you as there may be a wait.
